Our topic is an important one and our guest speaker is a very special member of the Taos community. I was fortunate enough to meet her a few months before TENT was in operation and have been looking forward to all of us hearing her speak on a topic she is passionate about.
Dr. Trinidad Arguello, Founder and Director of Compostela Community and Family Cultural Institute, Counselor, Health Educator, and Advocate will talk with us about the importance of Health Literacy — the knowledge required to access, understand, and utilize health care available in our society. This will serve to augment the services we offer and afford us greater efficacy in negotiating the health care system for ourselves and others in our community.
